In This War of Mine, you are not an elite soldier. You are part of a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; you have to deal with shortages of food, medicine and the ever-present danger of hostile snipers and collectors. The game brings you the experience of war from a whole new perspective.

This War of Mine is punctuated by the cycle of days and nights. During the day, snipers posted outside prevent you from leaving your refuge. So you need to focus on maintaining your hideout by crafting items, trading, and caring for survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to different unique locations to collect items that will help you stay alive.

You must make life and death decisions by following your conscience. Try to protect everyone in your refuge, or sacrifice some for your long-term survival. During war, forget about good and bad decisions, only survival matters. The sooner you figure it out, the better.
